Roger Michell (Enduring Love, Notting Hill) takes the reigns of this new adaptation of the compelling novel by Daphne Du Maurier.

After the mysterious death of this guardian and cousin Ambrose, Philip (Sam Claflin) resolves to investigate the questionable circumstances of his death. Suspicion falls primarily on Ambroseís widow, Rachel (Rachel Weisz). Beautiful and inscrutable, Philip begins to fall passionately in love with Rachel, all the while his conviction growing that she knows more about her husbandís death than she admits.

Full of twists and turns, the possible subterfuge in each conversation ensures that the tension is high throughout, mixing mystery and passion together.

The impressive cast also includes Iain Glen, Holliday Granger and Andrew Knott.
