This summer, we’re showing films where no cinema has gone before.

We’re hosting our first-ever outdoor, on-site cinema, surrounded by the Barbican’s dramatic architecture, in complement to the major exhibition Into the Unknown: A Journey through Science Fiction.

You'll be able to see the science-fiction classics 2001: A Space Odyssey from Stanley Kubrick, cult computer animation adventure Tron, and Alfonso Cuarón's spectacular Gravity is showing with Georges Méliès' 1902 work, A Trip to the Moon, all in the striking setting of our Sculpture Court.
